It's almost a vicious cycle:You introduce colonists in your specialized domes, and yet even if you put in all the effort in specializing them, new colonists arrive and mess everything up, the buildings that give boots to colonists with specializations are pointless as the corresponding colonists don't work there, most of the time, and if you filter it to only specialzation only 1 or 2 work there even if there are plenty of colonists with the specialization nearby. Then the resources don't get produced enough because of this, so everything that requires maintenance (practically everything) breaks down, and then you melt whilst thinking why didn't those damn enginners just work in those factories already! Instead you find them in the spacebar, even though there are other non-specialized colonists nearby. These bugs (and a few more that further dampen the experience, such as the grids not working properly (or showing in the first place)) ruin the game for me, even though i so desperately want to play it.I hope these types of bugs gets resolved, and perhaps a clearer way on how to fix the issues with the game :\/. So, I've given the game a fair go (300 + hours, the minimum I consider to tell if a game is good or bad) and, truth been told, I sort of enjoyed it for a while.But once you've grasped the basics it just slow and repetitive. The "mysteries" help a little midish game but it just becomes a grind after that. At lot of my time on the game was just letting it run while I watched youtube or read Asterix comics. There is far to much yawn factor.I though the season pass might spice it up a bit, but I ended up getting a refund on that as there was hardly anything in it, especially considering the price.I might come back to it one day but for now I think I'll just add a few more hundred hours to Rimworld.. Was kind of low on content on release, but with all recent add-ons and patches it is a decent game. Kind of like Tropico, but on Mars.. Game works great on Linux Mint 19 (GeForce GTX 960M). So far did not see any bugs in game. It's not a bad game, but to be honest, I become bored in it very fast. When I have first people on mars, I seen everything in this game. And that happen very fast. Later all goal is to make them happy and get all resources. And that becomes boring. Especially, because people in this game are not astronauts, but I would call them princesses. I want this, I want that, or I will kill myself or stop working. When main goal in this game become dealing with these princesses, it's become annoying very fast. And later all game is about getting new technologies, which not gives anything new. Most of them just upgrade work efficiency of current buildings. I miss in this game some bigger goal. Some cool rocket or mega construction. Or, at least, like in Cities: Skylines, where new buildings are available after reaching some population count. But here I see everything at the beginning. And there are not much to build. And I can't even say that it's beautiful to watch. All these wires and pipes ruin everything. Almost like their primary objective is to make them less defenseless against meteors and storms. Let's say, that I feel, like it's missing something.. I've tried to play this a few times now, but kinda find it a bit dull and directionless. I'm sure there's a good game in there somewhere, just needs some TLC with some form of tutorial \/ campaign that doesn't bore you to tears before finding the fun.Anyway this is not a full review yet, more about first impressions. Hopefully with the Green Mars expansion out soon I'll give it another go to see if it warrants keeping installed.. Better than tropico, feels awesome.. The best game ever!!!
